In 2005 Rachel got accepted into the Fine Arts Excel tech program, which allows a junior in high school to focus on their subject of interest for half of the school day. Rachel enrolled in Cleveland State University directly after graduation in 2008. Throughout her four years attending she has participated in numerous shows in several galleries, and is frequently involved in the community. She has been in the Honors Program since her junior year, and was awarded the Merit Art Scholarship in her senior year.
In this past year /In the fall of 2011 Rachel was a part of, and live painted at the Girls Girls Girls Show, and partook in the Controversy-Final Show at Zaller Gallery. She then assisted Josh Usmani in organizing a silent art auction, called Metamorphis, in January, and donated three of her own paintings. During her spring semester Rachel was accepted into the 42nd CSU Annual Student Show, and participated in the Merit Show. Since summer of 2011 Rachel has volunteered in more ways than one at Arts Collinwood, and this past June was a part of the Arts Collinwood Member Show. In recent months, Rachel was in the 3rd Annual BAZAARBEQUE at Forum Artspace, did live painting and participated in the live painting Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland competition at the 10th Annual Waterloo Arts Fest, and was a part of Popeye Presents Fine Art on Bad Records at the Zaller Building during the same fest.
Rachel Strongoli will be graduating December, 2012. Currently, she is pursuing live painting and murals. Going immediately to grad school for art after graduating is only one of many possibilities.
